Our Profile
Commitment to Safety
From the secretary who answers our phones to our drivers and management, the staff of Swift Couriers understands that safety and security are prime necessities for the success of our business.
- Our vehicles are 1999 model year or newer, meticulously maintained.
- Our delivery personnel are bonded and licensed, free of motor vehicle violations, and trained in essential safety practices on the road.
- The company has a safety incentive program for all dockworkers and delivery personnel. All of our owner/operators and subcontractors also are required to meet these requirements. We strive for zero lost-time incidents through constant improvement in our safety practices.
- All of our drivers are selected for their efficiency, integrity, and courtesy. Employees are required to wear identity badges and uniforms at all times as members of our Swift team; our clients can be confident that their packages are in safe hands.
Substance Abuse Policy
Swift Couriers’ substance abuse prevention and enforcement policy is superior in our industry. Pre-employment drug testing is required of all employee candidates.
- Any employee may at any time be asked to successfully complete a random drug-screening test (subject to jurisdictional law and regulation).
- If any employee is suspected by Swift Couriers or its clients to be using drugs or alcohol on the job, he or she must submit to testing procedures as a condition of continued employment.
- Selling or possession of illegal drugs or alcohol on company- or customer-owned or controlled areas is strictly prohibited.
- Testing is automatically required if an employee is found to be in possession of drugs, alcohol or paraphernalia in or around company property or customer premises or in or around company or customer machinery (regardless of whether the employee is found to be using such substances.
- A suspected incident involving a controlled substance or alcohol will result in the employee being placed on leave until results of the drug test are available for review (usually not more than 24 hours).
